On Saturday 2nd November 2013 Raise for Life organised a family Fun day event to raise awareness and fund raise for charity Orphans in Need – Delhi Orphanage project. The event required extensive planning to make it successful and within a stringent budget. This included the costume performers, variety of stall holders, hot and cold food sellers and running the programme on the day. The event allowed the surrounding community and families to come together and raise some funds for a cause we all have an obligation and affiliation with. In my view, this was very important to bring families and communities together so that it became clear what Raise for Life was about. It is very easy to neglect the closest around you whilst working to please others, this event allowed everyone to come together and enjoy a fun day with a very important message and objective.
